NuruHadima celebrates her goal with Esther Ngugi, Mercy Manguro and Valerian Nabwire

Kayole Starlets produced one of their most dominant displays of the season, securing a commanding 4–1 win over Kisped Queens—a familiar opponent following their tense FKFWPL Promotion Playoff clash last season. This time, the Starlets were in complete control, delivering a statement performance to claim all three points.

HADIMA OPENS HER SEASON ACCOUNT

Determined to respond after last weekend’s defeat, Kayole Starlets started on the front foot with relentless pressure. Their early intensity paid off in the 24th minute when Lindah Kihara reacted quickest inside the box, setting up Nuru Hadima, who fired a long-range strike that slipped through the goalkeeper’s hands—her first goal of the season.

Despite dominating proceedings, Kayole were pegged back shortly before halftime. A moment of misfortune saw Hellen Ochieng penalized for handball inside the box, and Laura Atsabina converted from the spot to bring Kisped level at 1–1.

SECOND-HALF GOAL FIESTA

Kayole returned from the break with renewed energy, and it took only four minutes to restore their lead. Esther Wanjiru won the ball superbly in midfield, surged forward, and delivered a pinpoint cross that Lindah Kiharapowered into the net with a brilliant header—her fourth goal of the campaign.

In the 51st minute, Faith Naliaka was introduced, and the substitution proved inspired. Just five minutes later, she reacted quickest to head home the rebound after the Kisped goalkeeper struggled to deal with Mercy Mang’uro’s well-driven free-kick, extending the lead to 3–1.

Kayole continued to dominate, with both Naliaka and Kihara coming close to adding more goals. At the opposite end, Kisped almost reduced the deficit in the 66th minute when a fierce effort rattled the crossbar, but Pauline Kathuruhreacted brilliantly to deny the follow-up.

The Starlets sealed the victory in emphatic fashion late in the match. Shalin Otieno picked out Magneta Ocharo with a clever through-ball, and Magneta burst past the defense before calmly slotting home to make it 4–1—a fitting end to a superb team performance.

WHAT’S NEXT

A dominant second half secured a well-deserved win for Kayole Starlets, who displayed resilience, creativity, and improved composure in front of goal. With four different players on the scoresheet, the team showcased impressive attacking depth and confidence.

The Starlets now shift their focus to a tough away fixture against Ulinzi Starlets at the Ulinzi Sports Complex on Sunday 30th November at 11:00am.
