Match Review:
Venue: Ziwani Grounds
Final Score: Macmillan Queens 0-3 Kayole starlets
We extended our dominant run with a resounding 3-0 victory over Macmillan Queens at Ziwani Grounds.
The away fans created an electrifying atmosphere, cheering the team throughout the 90 minutes as we
delivered an outstanding performance.

First Half
From the opening whistle, our girls were on top of the game and our first opportunity came in the 9th
minute when Salome Drailer sent in a beautiful delivery, finding Esther Wanjiru, whose header went
wide. Minutes later, Lavyne Achola tested the goalkeeper with a long-range strike, but it was expertly
punched away.

Nuru Hadima showcased her playmaking skills with a well-timed through pass to Molly Owuor, who
sprinted down the wing and attempted a shot from a tight angle, but her effort went wide. We
continued to pile on the pressure, with midfielder Nuru Hadima forcing another save from the
Macmillan’s goalkeeper inside the box.

The breakthrough finally arrived in the 43rd minute. Pauline Nakhanu launched a precise cross from
deep in our half, finding Esther Wanjiru, who executed a perfect lob over the goalkeeper to make it 1-0.
We entered the halftime break firmly in control.

Second Half
At the start of the second half, we made a tactical substitution, bringing on Melissa Vivian for Salome
Drailer. Our relentless attacking play continued, and in the 57th minute, Pauline Nakhanu delivered
another exquisite cross to Esther Waniru, who calmly slotted the ball into the left corner of the net,
doubling our lead.

Despite several chances in the second half, we struggled to convert. Molly Owuor and Sarah Chalovu
both came close but failed to capitalize. Melissa’s well-struck free-kick was saved, and Esther Wanjiru
missed from close range. In the 88th minute, Nuru’s earlier strike had rattled the crossbar, but she finally
found the back of the net with a powerful shot from outside the 18-yard box. A Goal Of The Season
Contender. The goal, assisted by Lavyne Achola, sealed our 3-0 victory away from home.

Our commanding display once again proved our strength, keeping us in the race for the KWPL
promotion. With the current form, we remain a formidable force in the competition leading the log with
32points, 10wins, 2 draws and 1 loss from 13 matches.
