Kayole Starlets can confirm that defender Shalen Njeri has completed a permanent transfer to Trinity Starlets.
Shalen joined us at the start of the 2023/24 season from Murang’a Queens and has since been an integral part of our squad. Over two seasons, she made 30 appearances, contributed to 20 clean sheets, scored one goal, and provided three assists, showcasing her influence at both ends of the pitch.
Her commitment and consistency were instrumental as we secured promotion to the Kenya Women’s Premier League and lifted the WNSL championship title in the 2024/25 campaign.
During her time with us, Shalen earned several individual honors:
- Best Teammate Award (2023/24 Season)
- Defender of the Season nominee (2023/24 & 2024/25 seasons)
- Player of the Month – December 2024
