Kayole Starlets Starting XI against Madira Soccer Assassins at Dandora Stadium

Kayole Starlets suffered back-to-back defeats for the first time in more than two years after falling to Soccer Assassins in a tightly contested FKF Women Premier League encounter played under light showers at Dandora Stadium, Nairobi.

BARREN FIRST HALF

The opening half was a cagey affair, with both sides displaying defensive discipline and maintaining compact shapes. Clear-cut chances were limited as attackers struggled to find space in the final third.

Kayole’s best opportunity came in the 28th minute when Lindah Kihara delivered a teasing cross across the face of goal, but Ashley Shilwatso narrowly missed the connection. At the other end, defenders Fidy Kimani and Mary Wali produced crucial blocks to keep the scoreline level heading into halftime.

SECOND HALF DRAMA

Soccer Assassins emerged with greater intent after the restart and were rewarded in the 73rd minute when teenager Tabitha Wambui capitalized on a defensive lapse to tap in from close range.

Kayole responded almost immediately, restoring parity just three minutes later. Lindah Kihara turned provider, directing a precise header into the path of Magneta Ocharo, who fired into the net over the on rushing keeper to make it 1–1.

In search of a winner, Eunice Wabwoba and Praxidies Shivikhwa were introduced to add attacking impetus. However, despite the sustained pressure, it was Soccer Assassins who struck the decisive blow, scoring a late winner with five minutes remaining to seal the victory.
