We are thrilled to announce that Kayole Starlets has officially completed one of the most ambitious transfer windows in our club’s history. By securing the signatures of three elite talents from Barcelona SC, we make a definitive push into the second half of the 2025/26 season with a reinforced squad.

Sonia Wambui – New Shot Stopper

Fondly known as Sonn or Keeper wa PS, Sonia arrives as one of the most highly rated young goalkeepers in the local game. She joins from Barcelona SC, where she featured consistently from 2021 until January 2026, building a reputation for composure, command of her area, and big-game temperament.

A product of Falling Waters Secondary School and Ruiru Secondary School, Sonia recorded four clean sheets last season and was instrumental in Barcelona SC’s deep run in the Safaricom Chapa Dimba 2025 tournament, keeping clean sheets from the early rounds all the way to the national semi-final against Wiyeta Girls.

Her excellence did not go unnoticed. Sonia won the Golden Gloves (Best Goalkeeper) award at the Chapa Dimba regionals and was later scouted at the national finals, earning a coveted training opportunity in Spain; a rare achievement that speaks volumes about her potential and consistency. Her arrival significantly strengthens Kayole Starlets’ defensive foundation.

Calta Nasambu – Proven Goals, Relentless Energy

Joining Sonia is one of the most feared attackers to emerge from the Central Region in recent years. Calta Nasambu Wanjala, a natural number 9, brings goals, physicality, and relentless pressing to the Starlets’ frontline.

Calta, also an alumna of Falling Waters Secondary School, spent six seasons at Barcelona SC after joining the club in 2020. Last season alone, she delivered 7 league goals and 3 assists, while her Chapa Dimba campaign was nothing short of outstanding.

She finished the tournament with 5 goals and 3 assists, emerging as the Central Region top scorer and claiming the Golden Boot. Her form earned her selection to the Chapa Dimba All Stars, representing Barcelona Rising Stars and travelling to Spain for a high-performance training camp. Calta arrives at Kayole Starlets ready to make a difference.

Naomi Nanjala – Creativity, Numbers, and Big-Game Influence

Completing the landmark triple signing is creative attacking midfielder Naomi Nanjala Masinde, popularly known as Nana. Naomi joins Kayole Starlets after an exceptional journey with Barcelona SC that began in November 2018, where she rose through every level of the club, from regional leagues to the Women’s National Super League (WNSL).

Falling Waters Secondary School alumna, Naomi has been one of the most productive attacking midfielders in the local game. She scored 8 league goals last season and in the current half-season, consistently influencing matches with her vision, movement, and end product.

Her Chapa Dimba performances elevated her status nationally. Naomi was named Regional MVP after registering 2 goals and 4 assists, before delivering a dominant national campaign where she finished as Top Scorer with 7 goals and 10 assists. She featured in two editions of Chapa Dimba, in 2024 and 2025, and was part of the All Stars squad that travelled to Huesca, Spain, last September for advanced training further validating her elite-level potential.
