Lindah Kihara and Euphrasier Shilwatso

Kayole Starlets continue to shine on the national stage as Lindah Kihara and Euphrasier Shilwatso have both been named in the provisional Harambee Starlets squad for the upcoming FIFA Series 2026 set to be hosted in Nairobi at Nyayo National Stadium.

The tournament will feature four nations; Kenya, India, Malawi, and Australia; offering a high-level competitive environment as teams build towards major international assignments.

Kihara and Shilwatso earn consecutive call-ups, having also been included in the January WAFCON preparatory mini camp. Their continued presence in the national setup highlights their consistency and growing importance to the team.

Kihara has been in outstanding form, leading from the front with 10 league goals this season, while Shilwatso’s experience and composure continue to provide strength and depth to the squad.

What is the FIFA Series?

The FIFA Series is a global initiative designed to give national teams, particularly those outside the traditional elite tier, more opportunities to play structured international matches.

Unlike standard international friendlies, the FIFA Series brings together multiple nations in one host country for a mini-tournament format. This allows teams to:

  • Gain valuable international match experience
  • Improve FIFA Rankings through competitive fixtures
  • Test squad depth and tactical systems against diverse playing styles

For Kenya, hosting the tournament is a major boost for women’s football, providing exposure, home support, and a platform for players like Kihara and Shilwatso to compete against varied international opposition.

Kayole Starlets remain proud of our players’ continued rise, as they represent both club and country on an increasingly global stage.
