Kayole Starlets Academy player Fridah Parloma was part of the Kenyan team that delivered an impressive campaign at the SCU World Cup 2026 held in Mexico City in the month of May

Representing the Zebstrong Team Kenya, Parloma joined a talented squad that showcased resilience, quality, and determination throughout the tournament, eventually finishing as runners-up after falling 2-0 to hosts Mexico in the final.

Kenya’s journey to the final was filled with dominant performances against some of the world’s top sides. The team opened their campaign with a 3-1 victory over Brazil before securing another convincing 3-0 win against Bolivia. They continued their brilliant run with a commanding 5-0 triumph over Wales and a 4-0 victory against Canada. A goalless draw against South Africa and a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Mexico in the group stages confirmed Kenya as one of the standout teams of the tournament.

In the knockout stages, Kenya once again faced South Africa in the semi-finals and produced another strong display to claim a 3-1 win and book a place in the final against Mexico. One of the highlights of the tournament for Kayole Starlets was seeing Fridah Parloma get on the scoresheet during Kenya’s emphatic win over Wales, helping the team secure qualification to the semi-finals.

Parloma’s inclusion in the Zebstrong Kenya team comes after an outstanding season at academy level. Earlier this season, she was crowned the FKF Nairobi East Regional League Most Promising Player of the Season, an award that earned her promotion to train with the Kayole Starlets senior squad.

Her performances continue to underline her rapid growth and potential, with the young Forward steadily establishing herself as one of the brightest prospects coming through our academy setup.

Everyone at Kayole Starlets FC congratulates Fridah Parloma and the entire Kenyan team for their remarkable achievement in Mexico and for proudly representing Kenya on the international stage. Fridah now returns to rejoin the Academy squad as they continue their FKF Nairobi East Regional League 2025/26 campaign.
