MAY PLAYER OF THE MONTH NOMINEES

An unbeaten month, 7 goals scored in 3 matches, and our place in next season’s league secured. While every player played a crucial role in achieving these results, five players stood out with exceptional performances throughout May and have earned nominations for the Kayole Starlets FC Player of the Month Award.

CALTA NASAMBU

Calta enjoyed a sensational month, scoring 3 goals and providing 1 assist despite making her impact primarily from the bench as a super-sub. She delivered one of the most important moments of the month when she scored the decisive winner against Soccer Assassins in the 69th minute, securing all three points in a difficult away fixture at Mbihi Grounds. In the final match of the season against Zetech Sparks, the Chapa Dimba 2025 Golden Boot winner produced a brilliant brace, including a stunning long-range strike that is already a strong contender for Goal of the Season. She also capped off her performance with an assist for Faith Naliaka.

FAITH NALIAKA

The February Player of the Month nominee returns to the shortlist after another impressive run of performances on the wing. Faith was a constant threat going forward, combining creativity and attacking intent throughout the month. She found the back of the net against Zetech Sparks and also provided an assist for Calta Nasambu. Her energy, direct play, and ability to influence matches in the final third made her one of the standout performers during May.

EUPHRASIER SHILWATSO

The Kenyan international was once again a rock at the heart of the defence. Forming a solid partnership alongside Fidy Kimani and Foscah Kanenge, Shilwatso played a key role in helping the team remain unbeaten during the month. Her composure, leadership, and defensive awareness were crucial as the team closed out the season strongly. Time and again, she produced important interceptions, clearances, and defensive contributions that helped keep opponents at bay.

MERCY MANG’URO

The captain led from the front with a series of commanding performances in midfield. Mercy scored two goals during the month, a spectacular long-range effort against Trinity Starlets and a penalty against Zetech Sparks. She also registered an assist for Calta Nasambu’s late winner against Soccer Assassins. Beyond the numbers, Mercy’s influence was felt across every area of the pitch as she dictated play, drove the team forward, and demonstrated outstanding leadership throughout the campaign’s final stretch.

EUNICE NABWOBA ‘BOBBY’

Bobby continued to be one of the team’s most reliable performers in midfield. Her calmness on the ball, intelligent positioning, and ability to control the tempo of matches made her a vital figure in the team’s unbeaten run. She produced a Player of the Match display against a tricky Trinity Starlets side and consistently provided the balance and stability needed in midfield. Her contributions often went beyond the statistics, helping the team maintain control in crucial moments.
