After two memorable seasons with Kayole Starlets FC, Lavyne Achola’s journey with the club comes to an end as she takes the next step in her career.
Lavyne joined Kayole Starlets at the beginning of the 2024/25 season from Acakoro Academy (now known as Gor Queens). In her very first season, she played an important role in our historic campaign, helping the team win the FKF Women’s National Super League Championship and secure promotion to the FKF Women’s Premier League.
Her Kayole Starlets debut came in an international friendly against Fountain Gates in Tanzania in September 2024, where she came on as a second-half substitute. Although she joined the team as a winger, Lavyne soon found herself deployed at left-back, a position where she would go on to excel.
In her first season, she made 25 appearances, contributing six assists and earning a Young Player of the Season nomination. She followed that up with another 21 appearances, one goal and one assist in her second season. Her only goal for the club came in spectacular fashion against Kisped Queens in February 2026, a moment that perfectly showcased the quality of her lethal left foot. Lavyne also made significant strides on the international stage, winning the Most Valuable Player Award after guiding Kenya to a First Runners-Up finish at the Homeless World Cup in Oslo, Norway, where she scored an impressive 22 goals. She also received her maiden Harambee Starlets Senior Team provisional call-up in September 2025.
Beyond the numbers, Lavyne will be remembered for her commitment, discipline and professionalism throughout her time at Kayole Starlets. She was a favourite among both her teammates and supporters, with her technical ability, skill, deliveries and dangerous crosses making her a constant threat on the left flank.
The club would like to confirm that Lavyne has completed a permanent transfer to Turkish Premier League side Haymana Spor Kulübü Women, signing an initial one-year deal with an option to extend. Germany-based agency Global Football Vision takes charge of her management.
From joining us as a young winger to becoming a key player at left-back, Lavyne’s two years in the Starlets colours have been filled with growth, memories and milestones. Everyone at Kayole wishes Lavyne nothing but the very best in Turkey and in the next chapter of her career
Thank you, Lavyne, for everything you gave to Kayole Starlets. Once a Starlet, always a Starlet.
