Shalen Njeri

Shalen Njeri, fondly known as Shanka, is a versatile and composed footballer who joined Kayole Starlets FC in September 2023, bringing a wealth of experience and adaptability to the team. Initially known for her striking prowess, Shalen transitioned to the centre-back position, where she has excelled with her calm and composed style of play.

Before joining Kayole Starlets, Shalen played for Thika Queens from 2021 to 2023. In 2022, she gained valuable experience during a loan stint with Murang’a Queens, where she showcased her resilience and adaptability across multiple roles on the pitch.

Shalen’s ability to read the game and her leadership qualities in defense make her a key asset for Kayole Starlets as we pursue success in the Women’s National Super League. Her dedication and skill continue to shine both on and off the field.
