Striker, Calta Nasambu has been voted the May Player of the Month after receiving 42.8% of the total votes from fans and the technical bench. The award comes after an outstanding month in which the Chapa Dimba 2025 Golden Boot winner played a crucial role in helping the team remain unbeaten, score seven goals in three matches, and secure its place in next season’s league campaign.

Despite often coming off the bench, Calta made a huge impact, scoring three goals and providing one assist during the month. Her most decisive contribution came against Soccer Assassins, where she scored the winning goal in the 69th minute to secure all three points in a tough away fixture at Mbihi Grounds.

She then finished the season in style against Zetech Sparks, netting a brilliant brace, including a spectacular long-range strike that has emerged as an early contender for Goal of the Season. She also provided an assist in the same match, capping off a memorable performance.

The award was closely contested, with fellow nominees Faith Naliaka, Euphrasier Shilwatso, Mercy Manguro and Eunice Nabwoba all delivering impressive performances throughout the month. However, Calta’s match-winning contributions and consistency ultimately earned her the recognition.Below is the percentage of the votes for each nominee:
