Kayole Starlets FC can confirm that forward Calta Nasambu has left the club to join Turkish side Haymana Spor Kulübü Women, becoming the latest Kayole Starlet to take her talent abroad.

From Barcelona SC to Kayole

Calta joined Kayole Starlets in February 2026 as part of a triple signing from Barcelona SC alongside goalkeeper Sonia Wambui and midfielder Naomi Nanjala. A natural number 9 and an alumna of Falling Waters Secondary School, she spent six seasons at Barcelona SC after joining in 2020. She arrived as one of the most feared attackers in the Central Region, having won the Golden Boot as the region’s top scorer at Chapa Dimba Na Safaricom with 5 goals and 3 assists, before earning a place in the Chapa Dimba All Stars squad that trained in Huesca, Spain.

Super-Sub and Player of the Month

Calta quickly became one of the most dangerous substitutes in the FKF Women Premier League. She scored her first goal for the club off the bench in a 1-0 away win over Madira Girls in May 2026. A week later she produced a Nasambu masterclass against Zetech Sparks: she came on at half-time, set up Faith Naliaka, scored an acrobatic strike from outside the box and headed in a late second to complete her brace in a 4-1 win, earning the Ushindi Player of the Match award.

Her three goals and one assist that month earned her the May Player of the Month award, with 42.8% of the votes from fans and the technical bench.

She stayed with the club for the 2026/27 season and made a strong start. She set up Magneta Ocharo in the 2-2 opening-day draw against Shabana Starlets, then pounced on a poor back pass to create the winner for Ocharo in the 1-0 victory over Trinity Starlets.

Joining Kenyan Teammates in Turkey

At Haymana, Calta will be reunited with former Kayole teammates Lavyne Achola and Euphrasier Shilwatso, who both made the same move this summer. She is one of seven Kayole Starlets players to sign for clubs abroad in 2026, a club record, alongside Faith Naliaka (Soma Zaferspor, Turkey), Nuru Hadima (Panetolikos, Greece), Lindah Kihara (Phoenix FA, Morocco) and Mercy Mang’uro (She Corporate, Uganda). Supporters can follow her progress through our International Watch series.

The club would like to sincerely thank Calta for her goals, energy and commitment in Kayole colours. We are proud of everything she has achieved with us and wish her the very best in the next chapter of her career as she carries the 1960 flag higher.
