Kayole Starlets FC proudly celebrates another historic milestone as defender Euphrasier “Ashley” Shilwatso has been named in the Harambee Starlets squad for the upcoming TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), which kicks off on 26th July.

Kenya returns to Africa’s biggest women’s football tournament with the ambition of making a lasting impact. The Harambee Starlets have been drawn into a competitive Group A, where they will open their campaign against hosts Morocco on 26th July before taking on Senegal and Algeria in what promises to be a fiercely contested group.

Ashley’s selection is the culmination of years of dedication, consistency, and resilience. Through hard work and outstanding performances, she has established herself as one of Kenya’s most reliable defenders, earning the opportunity to compete on the biggest stage in African women’s football.

This call-up is also a defining moment in the history of Kayole Starlets FC. Ashley becomes the first player to represent the club at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, a landmark achievement that reflects both her remarkable journey and the club’s unwavering commitment to nurturing talent capable of excelling at the highest level.
